Hi Team, This is regarding my blood donation query. I am corporate employee and in my previous organisation I started donation blood. In new org. There re no blood donation camps. Please let me know if I can go to any hospital in gurgaon for donation. Looking forward to hear from you. Would appreciate quick response as I want to donare this week. Regards, Kamal more

Thanks Arivind Ji.. but most people come forward with the view that today if they donate then bank will help them when they need but I also agree that blood banks should be the last option. more

Dear friends, when we donate blood to any blood bank, in an organised camp or otherwise, all donors get a card/certificate which entitles the donor or his blood relative to a unit of blood from the blood bank within six months from date of donation. These blood banks provide blood/ Components to the needy and poor people, or in case of distress/accident etc. Thus, I personally feel that we healthy and able people should not expect blood in return from blood banks, until unless in dire need. We will always have friends and relatives who will voluntarily donate blood/ Components, if God forbid, we need it any time. A healthy person can donate blood every three months. Platelets can be donated even after for days, although doctors recommend a gap of around one week. So, wherever feasible, lets make this highest form of humane contribution to the mankind.
