Religious Structures in the middle of the road
In Hyderabad why are so many religious structures in the middle of the road. It cause so much hindrance for the traffic. It can be located to some other place. more

It all starts by painting an existing tree or a stone or a footpath or for that matter anything with a particular colour. Then slowly the structure comes up in few months time and becomes a permanent feature, grows in size month by month. All these happen with the blessings of politicians and so called representatives of religions. Believe it or not, democracy in India in the present form is the biggest enemy of we Indians. One strong head of the state with full integrity can undo all wrongdoings within no time. What is happening is abuse of freedom of religion, speech, act etc. and only political will can stop all this nonsense. more

Please list them and share with GHMC. Let us see what action gets taken. Alternately you can approach a newspaper with your thoughts and convince them to print. Usually that works as it has a large audience. more

Mr. Ashwath Rao Sir, A nice question. But can you identify an authority with guts to act? Long time back, AP High Court ordered removal of encroachments on roads, Look who took action. If you see the Secunderabad station area, the encroachment is 200% But who cares? This is not only confined to Hyderabad. Take golden Chennai. It is worse. You cannot walk on the legitimate footpath meant for you,in Pondy Bazar, Usman Road, Parrys corner. etc. Please remain silent and be ready to face worse environment. I agree with you sir there are so many.. But as Balachandran sir said nothing can be done atleast in India. You dare to say anything on any religious structure and the useless politicians will jump over. Its just vote bank. Some PIL needs to be taken on this. And govt shud ve the guts to remove those. Not removing only Hindus structure but all structures which obstruct the movement should be removed. more

There are many that come to my mind like the one near the paradise flyover there is an ashoor khana right in between the two roads. Then there is one on the tankbund that hinders the traffic. Then one temple in the secunderabad station. Then there is a church in mettuguda because of which the traffic is slowed. The list can go on and on. I hope the GHMC takes necessary steps to remove these structures that hinder the flow of traffic. more

I saw several new structures are being built or small ones are being expanded occupying large extent of road in the past couple of years with the knowledge of G.H.M.C staff and local civic administration. more

Religious structures came up in the middle of the Roads because of various reasons. The widening of the roads made some structures come into the middle of the road. Some religious structures could not be moved as the aggrieved religious group moved the courts against moving the structure. Some of the structures are built in the middle of the road as part of vote bank politics. In view of all these it is difficult to move the structures from the middle of the road. more
