GURUSWAMY SANKARANARAYANAN (HR CONSULTANT FOCUSING ON LABOUR LAWS) posted a message in "myEPF". Employees Provident Fund Act is applicable only to Industries, establishments having 20 or more employees. It is not applicable to Govt. Offices. In the case of contract employees, if the contractor or establishment engaged in manpower/outsourcing or any contract work has 20 or more employees, then the Act is applicable to the contractor. Otherwise for contract workers in Govt. Offices, the Act is not applicable. You may see the above which was reproduced by me for your information. more
