Red Bus travels cancelled ticket and no refund and no alternative

I booked a bus ticket from Bangalore to Thrissur through red bus 2.5 months back.On the day of travel,they messaged ,bus was cancelled.Called customer service asked for alternatives ,they said u arrange yourself,they cant help.N they will refund the ticket cost Rs 4097 in 48 hours.I had to book a last minute flight for me and kids paying 16,000/-.Even after 1 month I havent received any refund.Customer service says they dont see any pending amount in ur account and so cant help.
Redbus is a fraud travels!!
I got to know from others they do this during festival time .cancel prebooked tickets and sell tickets for a higher cost!
But they are not giving me my money back even after they cancelled it without any alternative arrangements!!! more

This is the de-merits of private management. They are supposed to make alternative arrangement through other Buses travelling in that route. more  
Please approach consumer court and also post the documents with your story in social media. more  
Ms. Dias , hope you have held on to the transactions and communication from Red Bus . That is very important , to teach a lesson to the Golmalwalas.

I am not sure if the Transport co can cancel a ticket themselves and resell the same ticket at premium. If that is so it is a very serious offence . Will we be ablle to prove that . more  
Mr. Krishnarjun Rao has given the right suggestion. It is advisable to go to consumer court against these cheats. Even, if it is a bit trouble some, must teach them a lesson. more  
I have also got unpleasant travel in bus from Coimbatore to Bangaluru. Bus driver didn't want to go to pre-defined bus station at Bangaluru. We had to get down at different bus station comfortable for bus driver....... Caused lot of inconvenience..... more
