Rampant cheating consumers C/o Corona fear
I purchased a small hand sanitizer from MKM Bangalore with an innocuous brand name Bioclean. The label does not show manufacturing licence number and neither any ingredient s used.
Hand sanitisers comes under Drugs and Cosmetics Act and labelling requirements are mandatory.
I had told the sales counter person also about this. This is made in some local address in Bangalore. Same bottles with different name without showing any licence number can be seen at Easy Mart too.
People try to make a quick buck in times of acute scarcity. So I post this for information of all.
Similar things must be happening in other cities too. I have sent pictures attached below to DHS , Health secretary karnataka and Union health secretary and JS too. The type of alcohol being used by such people could be dangerous too . Government should take serious view of this and conduct raids and seize such products. more

there are the good samaritans in our country in abundance, but Unfortunately cheating is strongly etched in our DNA- Look at any aspect from Medical to retail to food stuffs, to many a manufactured item and ofcourse not to miss those who lead us in assemblies and parliament, where many of them are bought and sold like a sack of potatoes. So what example do they set for the younger generation or the man on the street- smart means learn to cheat and don't do anything the straightway. Unfortunate but true. more

Thanks for your reporting. I am sure the Department of Consumer Affairs, GoI, would be obliged to undertake investigation under the CPA 2019 and take drastic action against the cheats bringing bad name to the Indian business community. more
