Eversince PM Modi has assumed the office,he has been working tirelessly and pioneering several initiatives and concepts to usher a new era of development . And therefore,the onerous responsibility of finding ways and means to make the house of elders free from conflict of interests by the members of the house will have to be initiated by the ruling party itself with PM heading such a committee. Since the nexus between the vested interests and the politicians can't be undone overnight,at least a good beginning may be made,if PM and his party decisively take the issue forward. It should also become a subject matter of national debate and the law schools,bar councils and judicial academies must initiate public discussions and debates to trigger reformation and restructuring of the upper house. more

Now Rajya (Ruling) Sabha has become Raj Sabha, where the arrogancy if of the highest order & people think that whatever they feel right is the thing to be followed by all. They are not having any wisdom or sense of duty towards the needy fellowmen. They are trying to fill their & their relative's pockets by hook or crook. They take the Nation for a ride & each & every day we hear some or the other disaster striking us either in the form of infight, or in the form of hatred politics. Where is the modesty, high morality & disciplined way of life gone? The place is filled by Goons, defaulters, murderers, rapists & what not.....I can give more than 100 adjectives & still there will be no full stop. Ultimately whom it affects? Who is responsible for all this mess? It is we .....the Voters of this country who only give vote for the heck of it without thinking the cons & pros of their action. After all our forefathers had not got us freedom for having different viewpoint for Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians & all the Casts & Creeds. How can we think of removing Muslims or any minority community out of the Country. When we have to live together then why not to live & let others live in peace. Then only our country will prosper & each & every person will strive hard to take the Nation to prosperity. more

Many heartfully support the conclusion of Sri Krishna Deshpande since the situation since 1 and 1/2 decades and now the Opposition Role that continued in recurring even after the public Verdict tender the same . Yes please . There is no other go in the Constitution . The Guarantee given by Dr. Ambedkar that the people replace those carry undemocratic Rule for the Welfare of the Citizen in the Political Democracy that is Well Set in the Constitution IS FULLY IN VEIN DUE TO THE SELFISHLY POLITICAL ORIENTATION OF THE MEMBERS OF RAJYASABHA . Secondly , the absence of Independent Power & Authority with the President of India to direct the Legislature also necessiates this proposed Presidential form of Democracy . more

I suggest revolutionary change is present structure;(1) No wage/ salary/pension for MPS. (when privy purse like holy promise to ex rulers withdrawn; you have no moral right to restart such privilege to new rank of "lord ship" to any elected person.Think; erstwhile "Kings ""gave up their land for formation of INDIA ; what sacrifices made by elected MPS? )Only TA HRA & fringe benefits for serving people of his constituency (2) Scrap Rajyasabha (3) Scrap Governors posts These appendixes add expenses and creates extra constitutional embargo(4) wind up all "Panchs"/committees/Boards(5) Economise /control all govtal expenditures. Govt by it self should start setting examples by it's own initiatives so that stateGovt and local bodies follow them. Then only we will be able to set house in order. more
