Rajya Sabha and Vidhan Parishad

The memebers of Rajya Sabha and Vidhan parishad (Legislative Council) are not directly elected by the people of India. The representatives are those persons who are either rejected by the people in direct elections or favourites of the high command of the parties ruling in States(sometimes got elected by bribing the opposite party MLAs).

These Houses have no productive input for the country except to put hurdles in the running of elected governments.

Why a discussion on the same bill or subject second time? If a bill is passed in Lok Sabha, it should go to the President for signatures. That's it.

Many people feel that Modi Sarkar is capable of taking this decision and must look into it and let's go away with Rajya Sabha and Vidhan Parishads. Instead make more representation in Lok Sabha and eliminate nomination seats. more

1. It was earlier thought that there shall be Educated and experienced in various fields that can help at the technical view point. Secondly , to have a second opinion of the legislation to take care of the strict follow of the esteemed Constitutional objective, concept and for the highlighted welfare measures at the public interest. 2. The members might have been thinking only the practice of two houses in the places from where these doctrines are inducted. And, still to realize the importance of the second supportive care-taking house of oppressive attitudes of the people's representatives in the lower house. 3. Even then there has been no positive approach and discharge at the upper house and rather increasingly becoming the same exercising the selfish political theories for setting their own befitted corners. ALL THESE ARE ONLY SINCE THE PRESIDENTS ARE NOT UTILIZING THEIR SPECIAL AND PROMINENT POWERS . THERE WERE SOME SUCH TRY TO ADVISE/ DIRECT THE LEGISLATURE BUT SINCE HAVING NO CONSTITUTIONAL PROVISIONS TO INTERVENE WITH THE LEGISLATURE, SETTLED SO SO . EVEN JUDICIARY IS NOT ACTING WHERE SUCH CONSTITUTIONAL INTEREST IS INVOLVED EVEN IF APPROACHED WITH. THERE SHALL BE SUCH A DAY TO HAVE ABOVE 75% MAJORITY JOINTLY TO ENACT AND CORRECT THE SYSTEM. more
I fully agree with Pritamji. more
