Profiteering by Bajaj electricals and Vijay sales

See attached how mrp of this product has not been changed by manufacturer (bajaj) or retailer (vijay sales) though Govt has reduced gst rate from 28% to 18%. Mrp of 3499 should have become 3226 after july 27th but no change even 2 months later. And its not just vijay sales thats doing iy. Bajaj is also not updating mrps. Evident from amazon and flipkart screenshots.

Anti profiteering council must take actions. more

Shocking.Goverment authorities please take action against both on priority. It should be a lesson for others.Fine them heavily that is 10 times the profit made during this period more
Manufacturer print the MRP, based on current GST rate and accordingly prepare invoice to distributor, dealer, retailer & consumer. Thereafter in subsequent sales, every GSTN party needs to post ITC in his account book and then bill to next party with applicable GST. The fault lie on the subsequent parties, who wrongly bills with GST. These parties should be punished instead on Manufacturer who had printed MRP, as it is impossible task for a manufacturer to reach to the market to change MRP in each products. The traders make excuses, that he paid higher GST during purchase, so he will recover higher GST from his sales. Many traders do not maintain proper accounts books & bill to buyers, but prefer cash sales, so that he can skip the GSTN & return procedures and thus generate black money. Unless we the consumer insist on bill for every purchase this trend will continue. In contrary, if we go for a shopping mall, there is bill for every small or big purchases. If I am wrong, someone can contradict. more
Sir, Please note that the National Anti-profiteering Authority (NAA) has started a helpline to encourage consumers to file complaints against the companies that are not passing GST rate cut benefits. The helpline number 011-21400643 will guide the consumers to register their complaints, provide information and resolve queries related to profiteering under the Goods and Services Tax (GST) law. Consumers can call the helpline number between 9:30 am-1 pm and 1:30pm - 6pm on all working days, as per the latest post on the NAA website. more
