Prevent Exam. Related Suicides

As per newspaper report in 2020, 34 pupils died by suicide each day. Total exam. Related suicides from 1995 to 2020 are 1,84,586.
Suicides can be prevented by “Making Examinations Optional”.
I have taken up this issue with GOI and various Education Boards in the country since last 10 years.
It is a known fact that every child may not have the capacity to face the stress produced due to examinations. Making examinations optional is a solution.
The children who do not opt for examination can be given a “Certificate of Participation”, provided they fulfil criteria of attendance, class work and project work etc.
Optional examination policy can be implemented on trial basis for 10th class to begin with. It can be extended up to Graduation later on.

Education is not every body's baby. A child's inclination has to be studied and accordingly his/her Carrier has to be decided. Now a days there are so many fields in which a carrier can be started. more
Sir, If every difficulty in life is to be overcome by doing away the necessity of that issue/ action, it is impossible to live. People have to be taught to courageously face problems and come out either successfully or face failures and look for alternates. more
I did write to State CM and Central PM and education Minister on this. my suggestion was to declare all pass for those who opt all pass after 3 or 4 attempts or 2 years for improvement . If still want to write they can write any time and score high mark This way those who complete the course but could not clear all papers in 2 years grace period they must be given all pass hence they cannons compete with the mark score but with their skill they can exemplar in their career and many corporated consider only experience and skills after few years of field experience at that time they knew the individual is an authenticated graduate under all pass but a degree holder. even to their kids or for marriage they declare as a graduate, but so far nothing happened . more
Having a certificate of participation (CoP) is fine. A distinction needs to be created between those who have a CoP vs Certified Pass (CP). 1. CP should have higher value for continuing education and employment 2. There are anyway a lot of Entrance Exams after +2, for Medical, Engineering etc. And even after graduation, there are Entrance Exams. So, there is no threat for those who achieve a CP. 3. CoP cannot go for Entrance Exams for next level after +2. If they want to go for an Entrance Exam, they need to for a "Bridge Course" and achieve a Pass, or go for a FULL EXAM of +12. In the former option, they will lose time, in the latter option, they have to study well within whatever time they choose. In any case, this "education" system is tuned to produce only Engineers/Doctors etc., it does not result in any other life/practical skill. So, people with CoP will look for skill based education that is quick and useful to earn a living. We can expect good growth in skill based courses to come up for all areas of daily business, like plumbing, electrical wiring, vehicle repairs, construction, various other services and small scale manufacturing/production equipment handling, agriculture etc. more
