Politicians are the cause

The UPA Govt in 2013 has got the revised land aquisation bill at the fag end of their term, after looting in AP - by their CM - YSR under the guise of SEZ's.
Previously Mamta Didi has come to power by raising the Singur issue, but she was financed by Maruthi and Hyundai to prevnet Tata's from launching Nano in petrol segment and to protect their petrol car market.
lastly, the BJP in opposition in 2013 supported land bill 2013, thinking that as a vote catcher a la mamta, but UPA fooled them, as they knew they will be loosing in 2014, and Modiji will be PM with majority, hence the bill.
There is lots of barren land in this country and all the Govt has to do is to provide infra structure like power, roads, water etc, and the industry will be in place.
But the issue these political brokers of Cong. acquire huge chunks of land mortagage in Banks and get loans in 1000's of crores, and leave the project as NPA, as recently the Banks have published that NPA's are in the order 3.5 lac crores.
Even if the Govt is acquiring the land they should take barren lands or make the farmer or the land looser as a stake holder and pay him monthly or yearly lease, as is being planned in Amaravathi - the new capital of AP.
For food security the model punjab is to be taken where with good water resources the yield is high and no market to sell.
So considering all these things land acquisation is NOT a big problem, unless the intolerent Cong. allows the parliament to function and the bills are passed after a debate or suitable modifications.
Better late than never and be Tolerant to be in oppostions too. more

Why to catogarrize one ruling party. All political parties, politians, government officials, ministers are corrupt. more
Would be a good idea to have a database created with digital mapping like Google Maps with details of ownership of all lands in India..Lot of litigation would ensue..but this is the only way..lot of land meant for farmers is unlawfully in possession of politicians...same in border states...lot of illegal migrants from Bangladesh taken over land in Assam... more
Until the lands are being seized government should compel these land holders to pay the rent which will also become income to the government more
