Dev Vaish's suggestion is appreciable. MLA's and MP's funds provided by the Government could be conveniently used for this purpose provided the available funds are really utilised in purposeful manner. more
Let the Government declare how much money can be spent on making Path ways for Pedestrians to walk on. Neatly laid out, protected from Vehicle and Car traffic, and free of mud and leaves. Let there be an implementation Plan, a Quality assurance cell to certify if the work has been done well by the contractor, (and I can offer my professional services, free of cost), and the Plan must include a TIME-ACTIVITY schedule, to cover all Delhi Roads.... Trust me, this needs to be done on an urgent basis. Dev Vaish, Retired UN Specialist, Quality Assurance, Supply Division, UNICEF Copenhagen more
What we need in Delhi, is PATWAYS. Pedestrian Tracks, with no mud hanging around. The Government must invest heavily in Pathways, for people to walk, and road sides need to be free of mud, dirt and dust. These pathways need to be tiled, or square stones should be used. It should be made illegal to have roads, with no path ways. I can help in Quality Assurance at no cost. Think of it, if there is no mud on side roads, there will be far lesser pollution in the city, and the city will look so much nicer. People, will then like to walk, and enjoy the walk. Vinod ji has pointed rightly. This modern development and life style is taking not only human race but all vegetation and animal life away from nature . more
