I was working for Birlasoft and because of onsite travel they created 2 PF accounts. The last one was easily transferred to my current organization TechMahindra but the earlier one is going rounds for over 2 years now. The earlier employer Birlasoft has rejected the same due to mismatch in dates, In online transfer claim the dates are non-editable. It is close to 8 months they asked me to fill a rectification form. Another 3 months after submitting a manual paper based transfer but seems still things have not moved. What should be my course of action. How can I get this expedited I also have the UAN number more
There are multiple flaws here, In IT companies People travel onsite to different countries, on returning back from onsite companies like Birlasoft creates new PF account. Now the timing of these is sometimes judgemental I guess because it takes time for the account to get created. May be online PF account shows the date when the account became operational rather than your joining date of the organization. So currently the problem I have is the mismatch in start and end date of the PF account in Birlasoft and PF office. more
Having 2 PF accounts simultaneously by one employer doesn't make sense and will create problems. Would like to understand why 2 accounts were there for one employment, if the two were coinciding. If BirlaSoft created two accounts, then how can they reject it. Firstly, the ex-employer has nothing to do in transfer process except that they are supposed to provide you correct information about your account. However, since all of that is online now, you don't even need that. So, technically you can go ahead and initiate the transfer without your ex-employer getting involved. Too many confusions for me to answer this correctly. more
