PF & Service Records
I joined State Bank ot Travancore Statue Branch in the year 1978 as a clerk, was transferred to Vikas Department at Head Office, on confirmation, where I continued to serve for 5 years when I got Probationary Office selection in Indian Overseas bank in the 1983 batch. I resigned from IOB while serving as Assistant Manager in Ayiroor Cherukolpuzha Branch on 29-3-1989.
As I am not in possession of any records of my service life as on date, I requested both institutions in June 2016 to provide me my Provident Fund account Number and outstanding balance. Both have replied that they don’t have any records with them of that period, which are lost while converting all back records into electronic media.
I wrote to all authorities concerned, and even to PM office, who promptly asked me to submit the PF form properly filled! Without any data in my hand how can I do that?
May be there are many others, especially from unorganized sector, who are not able to claim their PF due to lack of proper records with them. Is there any way we can get our dues? more

I have PF Number and NSSN FORM ACKNOWLEDGEMENT SLIP but still company says that record is not traceable ( Yr 2004). I think they have separate file record even for every month. Do you have experience /releasing letter from your previous organisation ? From these letters you can get Employee ID and then PF A/C No. from corresponding organisation. more

one must keep the detail of their of account. wìthout which it will be difficult. But all salary account are linked with PAN nos.is it practical to link this in future. Such un claimed amounts PF Department keeping Mum. Govt must inform individuals to claim with whatever documents required to claim. more

If u do not have any documents (Salary slip, PF Ac Number, Emp Code etc) then it will be very difficult/impossible to get PF amount...as per my knowledge more
