HI , I worked in an organization from March 2005 to June 2010. Part of Provident fund contribution from my employer is paid towards my pension fund account. It is around Rs36000. I joined another organization in June 2010. I raised separate requests to transfer my provident fund and my pension fund to my new organization's PF and Pension account. Most of the above posts are correct. I advise you to obtain the copy of Annexure K for the transfer that was affected. Annexure K should contain your service record. One thing, I did not understand was, why did you fill 2 applications. EPF, and EPS both are transferred by the same application. more
When a EPF member changes job or gets transferred to another office where RPFC is different, a form called "Annexure K" along with a cheque of the value of accumulated PF amount is sent from previous RPFC/employer to the new RPFC, via new employer of directly. The cheque amount is added to the member's PF contribution from new employer. Also the date since when the pension fund was being contributed with the previous employer is also recorded by the new RPFC. This date is important and not the amount of pension fund that the member contributed because the pension amount is calculated based on only the number of years of pension fund contribution and not the amount of contribution. This date comes via Annexure K. The member must ensure that the new RPFC has recorded this date from Annexure K. I suggest the member also retains a copy of Annexure K because the EPFO may lose the record and the member may be in for a surprise when (s)he attains the age of 58. more
Pension account is pool account only membership is transferred to your account, in case your service is more than 9.5 years you can not ask for settlement pension account. you will get the pension on retirement on attaining the age of 58 years and till date your family is covered. more
Your pension amount is irrelevant, only service period and last basic salary are important while calculating your pension. Thats why it will never transfer, when you transfer your PF, your service period also get transfer. No need to wary. Pls. search for pension calculation for EPF, you will know it. Your present HR must educate you. more
