Passing of GST benefits

No one is passing benefit of input tax credit to us the end consumer if there is reduction in rate of tax.

Can someone please share how the anti-profiteering authority is supposed to work. How will it go after the millions of traders and businesses who I assume aren't passing the input tax credit benefit to consumer. more

How a consumer can know whether the companies have passed on the benefits of input tax credit or not. It is a simply market-demand concept. Yes the companies have increased the prices of the commodities subsequent to implementation of GST and that is presumed to be due to profiteering tendency of the business houses. GST Council need to step up immediately and work out Anti-Profiteering drive before the situation goes out of control. more
RCM concept is unnecessary. First of All, Return procedure should be simple & easily understandable. Anti-profiteering Authority should verify the cost of production/land value of the product & previous selling price of the product(Before GST) & present selling price(After GST). I feel it is also difficult to verify, because freight, cartage etc. Better 1% or 2 % Tax for Total Turnover & no input credit. more
Purchase and sales details not sufficient for GST like in TNVAT portal? more
There is no clarity by staff of the help desk officials. Vat officials unable to clarify service issues and vice versa more
Most of the dealers unable to understand RCM cincept. Filing of retun should b easily understandable. Recently introduced TNVAT portale is very to follow by a very small dealers. Hope GOVT will simplify like TNVAT portal. Regards more
