Parking on highways- deadly accidental deaths.
Daily we read through newspapers and Tv medium collisions occurring between speeding vehicles and stationery heavy vehicles in highways specially at night.
The causes are many like1- non display danger lights at the rear2-no fluorescent stickers to denote a vehicle 3- no extension shoulders of roads on highways for emergency parking4-High speeds of vehicles 5- drunken driving 6- lack of periodical police patrolling on highways to check and help broken down vehicles needing assistance 8-lazy drivers parking on roadside for tea or public defecation or urinating.
The standard roads on highways should have extension shoulders for about 100-200 metres every five kms for this purposes of emergency parking.
Display of red danger lights at rear is a must .
The drivers who park for tea or restroom facilities must be provided once every 10kms or petrol pumps must allow them .
Roadside dhabas ,tea stalls must have parking otherwise they must be booked by highway authorities.
Ambulance services with trauma hospitals must be nearer to highways .
Periodical patrolling by armed police men is a must to check these . more

You have raised valid points Rao garu, regarding road accidents no body can control first of all government should change the MV Act and limited the liability part then automatically every thing will be controlled otherwise things will go like this. 1. Liability should be limited. 2. For claiming compensation time limit should be fixed 3. FIR should be automated means registered online (all over india). 4. If the driver is on intoxication at the time of accident that should be mentioned in FIR under section 181. 5. If the driver is on intoxication then the courts should fix the liability on the owner of the vehicle and exenorate insurance company without giving appeal rights. 6. Courts should not be generous in regards to granting awards in MVOPs. Automatically accidents rats will come dow. more
