Parking charges in malls

Today I went for shopping in Phoenix mall.
They calculate the charge for parking from the time of entry into the premises to the time we reach the exit gate, irrespective of the fact that it takes nearly 10-15 min to actually travel to the parking slot and out of the slot to the gate, even without any traffic congestion or queues. In pr-COVID crowded days, I remember it would easily take 1/2 hr to 45 min. And when my total time came to 1hr and 1 min, they rounded it upto 2 hrs parking charge!
I felt outraged and even when I contested their charging, they kept insisting on it. I wonder if anyone else has faced similar problem and what is the view of consumers about this? more

Covid-19 has given an opportunity to businessmen to extract as much money as possible from the customers. Since they cannot do it on materials , they are doing it on services. Ye business hai! more  
In Bangaluru also, some malls dont charge if you have made purchases more  
Yes, it's nothing new, it's very common in most of the malls. Now a days it takes little bit more time to have a parking and moving out of parking lot. There is no grace period of parking at all. Now no opportunity to contest such issue as it has been continuing since beginning. We have to follow the rules of the game only. more  
My worry is that, anywhere and everywhere the HUMAN VALUES are missing! more  
boycott malls. In mumbai , some malls dont charge if u show purchase bill more
