Overhyped COVID-19 Solutions

Infrared thermometer - inaccurate when used improperly

UV light - can burn skin and damage eyes

Handgels - soap/water is better

Face shield - needed only in hospitals

Designer masks - Not really

Do: Wash hands, wear a mask and avoid crowds more

Covid-19 won't leave unless all the junk product stock is sold in the name of offering better immunity, sanitization, protection and what not? Paints, ply woods, floor cleaners, any junk powder made of any leaves or sundry, you name anything and they all offer protection against Covid-19. The industry makes hay while Covid sun shines and it won't let the sun set so easily... more
Pulse oximeters which had no market at all are sold like hotcakes at a premium, triple the price. Chyawanprash for which there were no takers earlier, are out of stock. As already pointed out here, anyone and everyone has become an expert and there ads projecting taking protein, multi vitamin, zinc, alkaline water, etc., etc., as the best defence against Covid-19. Poor public! without even checking for the deficiencies in their blood test report, start taking whatever is advertised.

It happened to us as well. As we're ageing, I thought we'd take some supplement along with milk and started taking protein supplement of a leading brand and during our next routine check-up, my wife's reports showed above threshold concentrations for protein and our doctor advised us to stop consuming any supplement without even checking if there's any deficiency and further supplementing is required. more
Much more efforts are required to be taken by the Health Authorities to quide the masses and penalise those who ignore precautions otherwise covid-19 will spread like wild in India and surely go beyond control as our country has got huge population. more
We now have 1,380,004,385 Covid-19 specialists in India telling us what to do with this pandemic. EX-Perts (or perverts) in every subject. The only problem is that they do not know their morning obulations. Good Vasant Vihar does not have a railtrack. An umbrella and empty asian paint can is a must along with non-designer mask. more
