Online shopping from amazon

I have placed order from Amazon and I have received the order in damaged condition and when I complained about this to amazon they refused to take any action on this and said they will not be able to do anything. Please anyone suggest me what should I do now to take this issue forward more  

Complain to customercare .then to consumer council. more  
I have recieved defected iPhone yesterday and Amazon is not taking responsibility to return or replace it. They suggested me to repair it from apple service centre .

But in iPhone defective phone cases they are dening to return or replace it more  
When someone receives a damaged product from Amazon or others, just make a return/replacement request. They will pick up the item from your door step at their cost. Keep item packed in original; packing. If return, Amazon will refund full amount to you/ your Bank or what ever method you used for making payment. If replacement, a new product will be sent to you. more
