Not received PF for over 2 years.

Hi, Need some help please,

My wife worked for cognizant tech Bangalore and resigned over a little a year and a half ago. PF was applied for as normal and all required documents submitted. No news from the PF office or cognizant tech till date, not even a response to our quires. When contacted the office administration they say we are waiting on a rejection letter from the PF Office only then can a new form be submitted. There's absolutely no transparency in the system to even help understand what the next step is.

Would appreciate help and advise here please. more

Submit Form 10C along with all other relevent details through Cognizant once again and the mater will be resolved more  
if you have PF account slip check online status of EPFO account in EPFO website The account slip contains both company and applicant and EPFO office then you can registered & apply for withdrawal online more

If I am not mistaken Cognizant maintains its PF with Regional PF office and not a trust. I also presume from your mail that your wife is not working now. the best thing to do would be to go online and apply for the Withdrawal of PF. it will be routed to Cognizant for approval but there is an SLA and they normally respond. provide all bank account details etc accurately and then take a printout of the form and share it with congnizant additionally if required. it will happen soon (soon for a PF settlement is 3 to 4 months). also I just found out that they have upgraded the EPFO portal and the new portal while it looks good is not fully operational. it is throwing a lot of errors and effectively it is unusable now. so wait till portal is up and then initiate the Wthdrawal (Keep the PF number, UAN number etc handly along with bank A/c number and then apply for withdrawal pnline) more  
Few thoughts: i) pl check the payslip to find out anything mentioned about PF deduction. ii) raise the PF query in company's internal finance dept and don't close the ticket till get satisfactory explanation. this ticket correspondence can be used with the omdusman if required. more
