No schools till Oct 31 in Delhi
So seems like Deputy CM of Delhi has just announced that no schools till Oct 31. I dont understand this. The smog season is upon us and there is no way there can be schools in November.
The local circles itself has published the report. Do the CMs/DCMs not read this or they just have big egos that it has to be there call ?

schools must remain to be shut in a counry which is nearly losing 1000 lives in a day due to pandemic. children shall meet without precautions, carry virus to senior citizens. very dangerous for senior citizens, hence rightly pointed by the survey- they must open in next academic session. hoping for a vaccine for kids first or wait and watch poicy as to how severe the next wave can be. the centre has time and again given deadlines for opening schools which is absurd. With more than a lakh dead now and taking cue from Andhra school where many kids were found infected, best policy is to wait for safer days. more

Its not a question of EGO. It is just that they have absolutely no idea of what they are saying or doing. In fact they just do not know what needs to be done - how to do it is a different matter. more

While your concerns/ apprehension/ fears are well founded, but frankly....... Who cares? Do you think the Unlocks have been done to protect people? Schools will be shut to keep children safe from smoke? You are naive! more
