Ankle Pain Suggestion

I have a question for Dr. Raju Vaishya. My wife has some serious pain at ankle, showed to a doctor, they said its common and to use a Ankle support. As usual due to commercial interest, it seems they have suggested a specific brand of Air Heel, sold only by his know reference, imported and costing a bomb. Is there any alternate support you can suggest thats available easily in India. more

It can be a calcaneal spur but ya without seeing the X-ray we cannot comment on it. more

Yes Dr. Raju is very correct. Your wife must first be shown to a Orthopaedic Doctor. Go further after his advice. Take the X-Rays along and also the Report of the Doctor you have shown. That is the Benefit of having a Known Specialist in the Circle. This gives Confidence to the Members. Thanks Dr. Raju. Regards. more

He did not tell cause, said it could be a extra bony outgrowth but it was not clear in Xray, no injury also. The one suggested is for 5000/- and Apolo or Guardian product is for 300-400/- so this huge difference so donno which one to use. more

You can get ankle support from apollo or guardian pharmacy too. If it is a common problem then also he might have told you something that what is causing that? It should not be ignored. Try physiotherapy if it is due to some ligament or an overuse injury. more
