New Taxi Policy

Govt is looking at app based taxis being required to provide parking proof before getting a permit and use only green fuels, such as CNG or LPG in Delhi.

these are good asks. We should discuss what all should Delhi Govt ask so as to minimise pollution and make these taxis work well for people as well as for driver. One important other area is no surge pricing. What is everyones opinion? more

LPG is a petroleum product, hence dirty. Only CNG or hybrid that starts on and at high speed in 5th gear while accelerating switches to petrol. Diesel for private transport ought to be banned totally. more

Urgently needed also is to insist upon drivers of taxis/autos in Delhi to turn the meter down and not charge customers "wishful" fares. ious. If downing meters can be applied successfully in Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Shillong, Chandigarh, Kasauli, Gangtok and other cities, then WHY NOT IN DELHI ? This, alas, has made our country's Capital notorious. more

To fill CNG in Delhi it takes around 30 to 40 mints time. more
