New Delhi Railway Station escalators dont work
I believe Railways uses local circles for policy development so I am giving some inputs.
While policy is nice its important to work on basics. Escalators still dont work many times and its highly inconvenient for old passengers and ones with children.
Can the minister take this into cognisance and fix these things. The national capital and the railways capital deserves better. more

New Delhi Railway station is very important for residents as an important entry and exit. But a huge traffic jam on the ENTRY does not allow free access to platform. Whatever improvement happened was on the Ajmeri gate side. There has not been any improvement on Pahar Ganj side. A suggestion to segregate the travelers going in and coming out of Station should be based on basis of Airport. Two entries should be based on two levels and all encroachments by Auto/Taxi at entry gates should be removed with heavy penalty and proper policing .Only one gate to be provided without any blockage. There be a process to fix accountability - in fact there should be contact number displayed in the vicinity so people can report and bring to notice the issues more

This is a common experience in many places. People directly responsible for the maintenance do not care. more

VERY MUCH TRUE. IT HOLDS GOOD FOR OTHER STAIONS TOO. AT GHAZIABAD SAME CASE. TO CLIMB STAIRS FOR CHANGING PLATEFORM IS HORRIBLE, FOR PEOPLE LIKE US CARRYING LUGGAGE (MIN) SINGLE STROLLY EVEN. more
