Cant the govt of India make a rule stating that Pakistani singers and actors will not be allowed to work in Bollywood movies...Its not in favour of India to go closer to Pakistan....Its like going closer to terrorists...who will try to make more terrorists in India...Anything that is not in India's favor should not be done.... more
Media is a backbone of any democracy. But currently TV channels are ruling the country. They can enter any place without invitation, they can question anybody, anytime and anywhere. Sometimes they behave very badly with the accused( still not proved guilty). They will show to the public what they want to show. They have inclinations towards political parties. Some channels run the news about their favourite party leaders all the day irrespective of how important the other news is. They declare the decision based on their reporter's feedback before analyzing the facts. Some channels ran the story whole day about one Delhi Traffic constable ( India wants to know how the police is treating the women etc etc) without hearing the other side. And then the reversal. One channel shows R baba has visited the thelawala, godawala, the macchi wala, another shows stories about Asaram and so on. Why should I care where one goes unless it effects a common man like me.(Why can't they find out where in abroad one remained for two months) There should be some norms/ rules for the TV channels. There should be some control. I hear one news in the morning but whole day it will be a breaking news. They should not sensationalize the petty issues. One feels proud when TV channels highlight the problems of the people, when they show and talk to the people throwing garbage on roads, when they stop and ask drivers not following traffic rules and last but not the least when they show us how the army/police/paramilitary forces risk their lives to make us safe. more
POPULATION OF NEWS AND ENTERTAINMENT CHANNELS DO NOT HELP CREATE ANY WEALTH FOR THE NATION BUT MAKE PEOPLE UNPRODUCTIVE AND LAZY more
- Enforce a code of conduct for media as is followed by other professions like CAs, Drs... - Take away licences of the Channels that sensationalize news and show repeatedly the same thing again and again. - We do not require large number of channels, India is a developing country and very large population is living under pathetic conditions, the man hours spent in front of these channels are national waste which we cannot afford. - Make awareness campaign to educate people to watch only good channels that are positive and gives accurate news as news without adding any sensations to it. - Educate media people to follow the national interest, also educate them positive journalism. IN ANY CASE IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT WE TRIM THE NUMBER OF CHANNELS. THE CULTURE THAT INDIA NURTURED OVER 1000 YEARS IS BEING SPOILED BY THESE CHANNELS. ENCOURAGE THEM TO CREATE STORIES THAT ARE PART OF OUR GREAT CULTURE. more
Electronic media now a days dominates its culture over society throughout India. In the melee of improving channels popularity and business, they add masala to the news. They give judgement before the cases are decided. They cause damage to parties or persons and thereafter the news fades away.In serials and films unethical practices, violence, crimes etc are highlighted that misleads the young minds. Many families, many marriages are broken these days because of such misleading serials.Media, especially electronic media has a greater responsibility towards man making and nation building.Even PM Modiji had advised the media to be more positive or at least devote some space for positive news.We have made ourselves unfit for democracy by our selfish deeds.TV as it is,has become a curse to society. This picture should change.Instead of highlighting stories of development, and nation building, they highlight alleged stories and crime news.Indeed many tv channels are disgusting now a days.Paid news channels display biased news only which are detrimental to society. The Govt should arrange a seminar of the media and place its views on the need for the constructive approach of the media to benefit the society. more
