Most Nestle products unhealthy

In an internal document, Nestle acknowledged that more than 60 per cent of its mainstream foods and drinks do not "meet a recognised definition of health". They acknowledged that some of their products will never be healthy, no matter how much they renovate. only 37 per cent of Nestle's food and beverages by revenues, excluding products such as pet food, achieve a rating above 3.5 under Australia's Health Star Rating system.

Some 70 per cent of its food products failed to meet the mark, along with 96 per cent of its beverages, excluding pure coffee. As much as 99 per cent of its confectionary and ice cream portfolio also failed to meet the standard.

The data does not include pet food, baby food and the health science division.

Nestle is the maker of popular food items such as Maggi noodles, KitKat chocolate and Nescafe. more

should cook food at home as far as possible. Avoid ready to go foods by mega corporations like Kraft. Advance preparation and planning can help reduce situations where you must use corporate synthetic foods. It is our body we are feeding, it is our responsibility not to feed it junk. more
It brings 2 pathetic points about our Country administration - 01. We know by Luck because of an internal document of the company - FSSAI or any intelligence department does not bring this out - so unfortunate for such a large country. Why we should not improve our Intelligence system? What about those Lakhs of companies who do not have such transparency in internal system ? 02. Why FSSAI should not be booked for inefficiency or corruption or both ? Why there is no FIR or PIL against FSSAI immediately? India's approval and control system for Food and Drugs are so pathetic which is a danger for 130 Crore people. I just checked the Gelusil MPS Liquid bottle which is in front of me - there is no approval from the Drug controller or FSSAI - that means anyone can bring any medicine or Food to the market without any approval stamped on it. This may be corruption hiding under inefficiency - because a Govt employee is never sacked for inefficiency - they have the unwritten traditional License to Kill 130 Crore using inefficiency and corruption. And these multination companies work against the Govt with muscle power even if they are part of the corruption - because no one is there to take action, all are purchased. This is why - most of the parents train their children to get Govt Jobs and make money till death. So, when the corruption thinking is at every home, how do we expect to have a clean system? more
I just visited Nestle's website. I hereby confirm that every media in this country have reported this matter with great importance as 135 crore consumers live on Nestle products. The aim of this combined attack on Nestle by media, and the "me too" brigade seems to be a "paid agenda" by the competition. Wish I could get the real source so that I can post a better worded post, if the reward is right. This is called "intelligent" cyber warfare. more
With such a vast critical and sensitive information the best decision you can take is not to purchase or consume Nestle products. Leave it to others to take their own decision to buy or boycott Nestle. As one of the comment posted above, can you please furnish the "Australian Connection" report? Meanwhile I am referring this post to authorities at Nestle for their comments. more
I concur with your views and people will say BabaRamdevs food are best in the world. It is an internationally a reputed product. more
It is surprising and if that is so then is it only in India that they do not comply or globally also they do it .I do not think in europe and usa they can operate like that .These companies have different standards in different countries. Our food dept also need to take cognisance of this and act more
