Shampoo pre gst priced at 185 MRP. Despite rate reduction from 28% to 18% MRP today (nykaa screen shot) is 185.

Hi Mr Mohapatra, the issue will not be sorted as they will mention the current GST. The problem is them not reducing from the previous to current GST. One correlation could be for GST previous and the reduced being mentioned with effective dates. The consumer can check from the batch no and date if the duty being charged is at old rate or new rate. This info could assist in prosecution/refund of charges. Who is to prosecute such cases which are very evidently clear. more

After the production, when any product is released to the market, it is next to impossible to change the MRP. But if the GST rate is mentioned near the MRP, then the Retailer can be asked to take the price at revised GST. more
