I heartily agree with the gentlemen above. It will also instil discipline in young people and give them valuable skills for their lifetime. Compulsory for boys and especially for girls where unarmed combat training will make them safer and more confident more

I fully agree with Gururajji, that is exactly what we need. NCC as mentioned above should be made compulsory in all schools and colleges without exemption. more

In my opinion, basic military training is necessary. NCC, to some extent fulfilled this need. But, mostly it ended up being parade ground exercise, with no training in basic weapons or unarmed combat, or about survival on the ground. If NCC is restructured into proper citizens' military training, we will be much better citizens, not to speak of being available as reserve in the times of wars at borders, or insurgency within the country. As already stated, the focus should be on physical fitness, basic weapons training, unarmed combat and survival techniques on the ground. more

We will have strong army of strength of al least 80 Crores ( if old & children are excluded ) . Everyone will be strong & skilled to fight the situations . more
