Menace of Drugs - Key Issues

Dear Friends,

Recently our Prime Minister has taken up an initiative to address the menace of drugs.

To assist him in this initiative, we would like to initiate a discussion on the subject and submit a whitepaper to him with Issues, Root Causes and Solutions based on collective citizen experiences.

With this post, I request all of you to share your inputs and experiences related to Issues of Drugs Drugs.

We will work on Root Causes and Solutions in separate posts and arrive at the whitepaper for submission to PM.

Education regarding the ill effects of drug addiction, stringent laws to punish those involved in drug trafficking , and efforts needed to rehabilitate these victims are the need of the hour more  
It is every citizen's responsibility to inform the drug menace to the concern authorities. The narcotics department personnel should be available in very police station for necessary immediate action. With related other banned drugs every medical shop, hospitals and diagnostics centre should made to display the details. Without prescription no drug or any items available in the stores should sold to consumer without bill. There should be weekly inspection. more  
MANY DRUGS WHICH ARE BANNED ABROAD BUT ARE BEING PRESCRIBED AND SOLD AND MADE TO USE THEM BY THE PATIENTS IN INDIA. more  
There is a need to promote awareness about the bad effects of drugs,amongst kids, this counselling / advise should start from class 8 to 12th,should be mandatory subject in all schools. more
