Medicine for Covid

As discussed in some of the earlier posts, all covid researchers are focussing on vaccine for Covid. If and when something comes out after due testing, nobody knows the effectiveness. In our childhood, we are given vaccines every few years. Are all of these 100% effective?
Would it not make more sense to put focussed effort on an effective medicine or set of medicines for Covid? As of now the only medicine floating around is Remsidivir. Doctors are still not sure about its effectiveness and it is expensive.
When we go to a doctor with viral symptoms, she/he gives medicines based on the severity of the infection and whatever medicines one is currently taking for other health issues. So, wouldn't focus on medicine be more valuable than vaccine alone?
Probably, somebody from the medical profession could give us their thoughts. more

There cannot be any medicine for the viral diseases. Viral diseases are self curing, after development of the antibodies by the human system. These antibodies protect us from the particular virus mostly for the life. So, same strain of virus cannot make us sick for the second time. But viruses change their strain with time and other enviornmental conditions and can attack again. Doctors only treat us for the side effects of the virus ailment,i.e. fever, body ache, lung infection etc. etc. Covid 19 is designed in china, by combination of many deadly viruses and it was to be used for biological warfare. It accidentally leaked from the Whuhan BIO Research Lab and started effecting the human race. Vaccine is must to develop antibodies in us for covid-19, artificially. It is done mostly by injecting a weak, sami-dead dose of virus in our body. more
Do not wait for vaccines or effective medicines. Focus on strengthening your immune system especially through proper food - especially a low carbohydrate / sugars diet. more
Prevention is better than cure. Fight the enemy alone alone. Already nature started protecting sand warning human not to mess up. Rivers are getting clean and air quality is improving. There is no traffic jam. Last chance is given to human to change and not to challenge the nature. Continue your service telling people what you know. more
I am not a medical professional and my understanding based on google search is that research is progressing on both prevention as well as cure of this new disease. more
Good to know that there is some focus on the cure. All we read and hear us about is the race for half baked vaccines. more
