Medical Errors cause for death world over :
Saved from disastrous situation . Exactly ten years back I was diagnosed cancer right Kidney by Urologist . I was advised nephrectomy RIGHT kidney . I was recommended to go to a general Surgeon in Hospital to get admitted and the case sheet prepared .
The surgeon seemed to be busy and doing many things as he was preparing case sheet for the surgery. He was giving instruction s to the nurse , ward boy on what to do do to the next patients . I was on the couch depressed hearing and watching all what is happening. As he was preparing my case sheet the Urologist called him and was confirming the details . Then he asked the surgeon which kidney is to removed . Surgeon promptly said LEFT . Urologist who examined just the previous evening asked the surgeon to confirm . As I was listening to the conversation , I yelled not left , right kidney . The Doctor heard this over the phone and asked the surgeon to look in to the Scan . He looked and confirmed Right . He had seen the flip side of the scan without reading the words in the scan.
That is how some doctors will be [not all , the urologist remembered my case from the previous days consultation without the scan.] They are [NOT ALL AGAIN] NEVER PRESENT IN THE PRESENT .
God saved me and and the call of the Urologist came as बचानेवाला மீட்பவர் [rescuer ] more

It was in 1999. we were at Rajahmundry Andhra pradesh. I was away from home for a month. My son complained stomach pain regularly. My wife took him to near by doctor. The doctor prescribed medicine without touching the boy.That happened 2/3 times. Even after using the medicine he continued complaint but forgets while playing. When I was back home I went to doctor along with my wife and son. The doctor again changed medicine and asked us to come after two days. I requested the doctor to examine the boy because even after consuming the medicines he is complaining pain. He said not required. Since I knew him I insisted to examine on examination table. He accepted unwillingly and within minutes he asked us to take the boy to pediatric surgeon immediately. That surgeon scolded us for delay and advised surgery for fully ripe appendicitis immediately and he performed the same in the same day. My son was saved. I request every one to ask for physical examination before prescribing medicine. more

Thank you dear Jayakumar ji for sharing this shocking incident ! No doubt that it was a miracle that saved your healthy right kidney and your life itself. Thank God that He has not allowed the cunning Doctor to make the life of nice human being miserable. Medical negligence is reported to be one of the prime reasons not for spoiling health but also causing death of human-beings. Casual and careless approach of the Doctors are still ramphant and many innocent persons become their victims. more

More than the doctors in such five-star hospitals it is the management who are usually non-medically qualified to blame for putting these doctors under such target-driven pressures. If only our government hospitals were well equipped to handle the load, but they have been systematically neglected so that such private hospitals can flourish. more

Vinodh Sahni , anything to do with Kidney , the first 2 parameters to to be kept on watch are Urea [17- 49 ]and Creatinine [1.3 ]. This is controlled when Meat protein consumption is restricted. When one becomes week lot of soups are recommended to recuperation. Watch out for Non veg proteins consumption. Instead advice to take freshly mad vegetable soups and so on. more
