Media Industry in India - Key Issues

1. The power of media is misused
2. Media houses are moving away from their primary responsibility, which is to report good and genuine news

This enlightens the adopted new business way of achieving higher profits, renowned name of Journalism, backing Teams not only in the Society but also in the Politics. There is absolute need for a comprehension as to What is News ; What is the purpose and limits ; whether it be [Society] Civic/People/Nation oriented ; the Rights & Liberties ; the Responsibilits if at all to exist ; as far as Journalism concerned . In the present era of money making and profit gaining ; Extra-ordinary Humanitarian spirits & modernised Civic liberties and Civilised natural justice, how far it is possible for re-establishing the original spirits and mottos of Journalism . is definitely a big Question and a Task unless Self realisation is penitrated at least for the sake of Society, Indian-heritage and indipendent India. more
Print media's main source of news is the previous days FIRs filed in various Police Stations. There is a quid pro quo between the police and the press. Police get their versions printed, so-called journalists flaunt 'PRESS' on the number plates of their bikes and break the law with impunity. The electronic media dish out news in between advertisements; we don't know what we are paying to watch - ads or news/content. more
Media should not telecast military and space operations. Due to this security of India is at stake. more
restricted freedom should be threr . Sensitive issues should be passed through srutiny by unbiased authoritis. Heavy penalty be levied on news with out proper investigations on print media more
