A diabetic should never eat fruits like mangoes, banana etc which are rich in sugar. I am a diabetic for last 35 years and have been under treatment of Dr. M.C. Srivastava who was secretary of diabetic association of India and did a tremendous service to diabetic people in India.Throughout life i remained under his treatment. I never met a doctor better than him in India.Unfortunately he is no more but his legacy remains. He was a PhD in endocrinology from UK. He founded Diabetic association of India and published really good articles. I worked upto age of 72 and have no problems so far. I am on insulin since 1983. Always check your sugar levels daily.Don't be misguided by useless articles on net. If you maintain HbA1C upto 7, you can rest assured of a good life. more
A lot of disinformation on cyber space. So follow it up with a ppbs test or ask doctor. Admit our ignorance and use logic more
Mangos have lower glycemic index than Papaya. I don't know why doctors recommond Papaya but not mango. In fact highest Glycemic index is of Watermelon and or other melons but because of high water content they are not hermful. more
