I too have this problem. I get relief from the pains at night by wearing socks which keeps my foot warm. more
Check the speed of impulse in the legs. A lower speed can give cramps. So a good nurologist has to be consulted as pain killers reduce the speed. After this an Ayurvedic massage at kottakkal Arya Vaidya shala may help control the cramps more
Along with medicenes ,yoga pranayama and meditation will help a lot.advise to go for 15/20 days yoga therapy at svyasa Bangalore. more
Dharamji, from my experience with various allopathic, ayurvedic treatments, supplements, readings, I suggest to check her for vitamin B12, B17 & D deficiency. Vitamin B12 injections or Methycobal 500mg (for 2-3 months) is suggested. For vitamin D "D Sun 60K" 1 tablets per week for 8 weeks is suggested. Vitamin E "Evion 400" would help in cramps. Her bowels should be cleared and natural laxatives i.e. triphala powder or tablet Dulcoflex Natural is suggested for few days. She may take aloe vera juice+ Jamun Vinegar in warm water in early mornings for bowels. Consult a good vaidya locally for good supplements. Hope she will be fine soon. more
