Malpractices by Telecom Operators in telephone number disconnection
Everyone must be facing a problem when you make a request for disconnection of mobile number. The number doesn't get disconnected and kept in operation and meanwhile, the telecom operator representatives call you to convince to keep ON the connection. You are billed for these days and if you don't receive the calls, the monthly bills are pilled up. Government has to make a rule against such malpractices. Please share your experience so that government can act on this matter. Let's create public awareness. more

Three days back a Jio number was recharged online by paying Rs.399.00. While recharging, the number of the phone was erroneously recorded by min printing the last digit as 7 instead of 6. Since the recharge was not effected and the services were disconnected, on thorough check, the mistake was noticed. Immediately, an email was sent to their Customer Care elaborating the recharge and the mistake committed in recording the phone number with a request to reverse the entry and put the credit to the correct phone number. The company has flatly refused to oblige stating that they have no system of reversing the successful recharges, which is not convincing. more

IF this is the case then TRAI need to wake up and an e mail or complaint need to be logged in their website saying that the concerned person has opted for cancellation of the number and would be recorded. more
