Make GST on life saving meds 0 or 5%

Shouldn't GST on lifesaving medications - Insulin, Aspirin, vaccines, antihypertensives, anti-epileptics, anti-cancer drugs be ZERO? Especially when 70% of healthcare expenditure is out of pocket, and 6% population gets into poverty due to catastrophic healthcare expenditure? more

hello Sudeshji my opinion is , all the drugs should be kept away from taxes. Directly or indirectly all the drugs are used to save lives--whether it is a simple paracetamol or anticancer drug. The tax exemption should be introduced on all the drugs and medicines with regds C.V.Pradeep Mob: 9243103920 On Sunday, 19 February, 2023, 04:47:26 pm IST, Sudesh Rai wrote: more
The reason why states are raising loans are in the budget there is no provision made for freebies which they give. Also lot of politicians siphon out money from the various govt schemes without it reaching the people it is intended for that is why these politicians want power and posts .Govt should tell companies to manufacture them here and give them incentive or bear some part of the cost since volumes may not be big and in this way they can curb foreign exchange going out and in his way creating employment and may be govt can buy these at reasonable rates distribute it through hospitals or phc etc more
I agree. How many will recollect in year 2024? more
