Maintenance of roads in Cities - New method
Currently there is no proper process to maintain roads. Contractors will lay roads such a way that it will get damaged with in one year to get the money. All the Govt departments don't have synchronization that resulting digging roads many times and laying roads many times. Instead of giving only roads laying to contractors ,if we should give roads wise Maintenance per year to the agencies for complete responsibility . So that they will take care of synchronizing departments and responsible for quality of roads. more

Road building & maintenance committee in every local body is a good suggestion. Payment in parts to keep a check on maintaining the road properly is also good idea provided the same contractor is given the comprehensive role of construction and maintenance for a stipulated period which will make it obligatory for him to construct quality roads to last for that period. more

I don't agree on all of it: I think a year's time is not enough because Contractors can abuse it. There should be a way to penalise contractors - Payment should be done in parts so as to keep a check on maintaining the road properly. more

Agree ! There should be a road building & maintenance committee in every local body i.e. municipality. grampanchayat etc. And a common man i. e. any non-government official should be a member of it. more
