Long Covid worsened by air quality

Delhi-NCR saw epic devastation during the 2nd COVID19 wave just a few months back. A respiratory catastrophe. Many are still suffering from long COVID symptoms, made worse by seasonal factors. Docs say respiratory cases have shot up over the last few days.

But people here seemed to have forgotten the tragedy that fell upon them. The overflowing morgues & crematoria. In fact, this time, there's an extra cultural assertion to use firecrackers. Some are calling it 'civil disobedience'. Few ruling party members have partaken in it. more

No people of Delhi seem to worry about the problems being caused by the "so-called" Farmers, who have no difficulty in burning stubble or causing traffic jams or creating problems for local residents. We, the people of Inia are a STUPID lot. We keep voting for idiots like Kejriwal and still have sympathy for Nehru-Gandhi clan. As the people of India, we are all careless about our own duties and responsibilities. We expect governments to do everything. We prefer to wait and observe from the sidelines, taking no positive action on our own. How many times have we politely asked people NOT TO SPIT ON THE ROADS and not cause crowds, or not wear masks? Maybe less than 1% of us have ever done this. and we aks.... 'WHO CARES" more
I heard long back, the populist Delhi Govt. was installing hundreds of huge air purifiers to get rid of this annual catastrophe ... any guess, will they ever have any funds left for anything really constructive!!! more
The worsening of respiratory symptoms during smogy winters of Delhi is a common and periodical phenomenon. It begins from october end till january end. The reasons for this smog are multiple, firecrackers being smaller one. Better air currents even for a day can wash it off but the relentless field fires, vehicular pollution and garbage burning are the more important causes that you conveniently forgot. The air quality index in december will be worse, but none will talk about it. more
Sad to see NOBODY cares.... more
