local problems

now time has come to more circles like local prolems of school admission, problems of transportation foods and public transport.
if we talk of public transport, state transport buses run according to availability of buses and drivers and conductors.
they dont bother, how much public in peak hours waits for how many hours.
connectivity of industrial areas, schools, colleges, hospitals by any transport systems is also important.
how we can address such issues to govt.its uphill task.for example, navi mumbai all suburbs are not connected to mubai suburbs , say borivli, dadar, church gate etc.
even now no direct train service from navi mumbai to dadar or mumbai central.CIDCO, is not equally giving infrastructure facilities to all cities.
local circles should be made to address such issues in every city or constituency and MP OR MLA OR MLC SHOULD HEAD THESE CIRCLES, SO THAT PUBLIC MAY ADDRESS ISSUES.
IT SHOUD BE. EITHER BY POLITICAL PARTIES OR SOCIAL MEDIA.
in delhi, BJP has done it.
why we , in other states cant . more

Last mile connectivity is an issue in Chennai also. sometime back mini buses were introduced, but the services are poor and timings are not good. Some years ago, traffic dept. gave licences to Tata Magic or similar vehicles with a seating capacity of 6 to ply on the roads in addition to Metropolitan Transport buses. But foolishly the permission was given for same routes that buses ply and therefore became a competition for the buses. In fact the permission should have been given for these Tata Magic to ply in Industrial areas, locality interiors or some such far flung areas. But typically the decision makes were not wise and a scheme to benefit the public became a hazard for them and profit making for the unorganised traffic operators. I do not know how decision makers take such decisions which are away from public convenience. But I should, in Chennai, the metro rail has introduced last mile connectivity which has proved a boon for the commuters and in turn has significantly increased metro user population. more
Mumbai has bus and local trains, Kolkata the environmental friendly trams, so Delhi does have metro rail, but last mile connectivity is an issue, buses ought to run more frequently, optimally, and following traffic, especially since these too displace congestion creating private vehicles, ultimately with cars causing urban sprawl. The new way ahead is transport oriented development, a ground up progress, showing the salience in local ecosystem of transport. more
am Resident of Bangalore 560089, i wish to bring woes out of BBMP. In my Street, last 3 months, the street lights are not functioning. I hv made efforts to inform several concerned people, no one is taking action, rather no one is bothered! We could see in Bangalore streets, several lights are ON even during day time, and whatever is not lighting, it would be 24x7. We pay tax for the convenient services, it's painful to say NONE OF THE GOVERNMENT MACHINERY IS WORKING PROPERLY IN BANGALORE! Rather nobody listens! more
Mumbai transport system is probably the best in the country....but this sector is heavily dependent on cash....school admissions will also improve once it is made cashless by law....look forward to better ideas....Regards On Sun, 26 May 2019 00:09:28 +0530 Satyapal Singh wrote > more
If there is proper execution of the suggestions, then it is OK, else it has no meaning. more
