now if you bring more than 1 litre liquor from haryana to Delhi, you can face fine up to 3 lakhs, 1 year imprisonment and confiscation of your vehicle. Excise dept has come up with this new rule and is enforcing it. Be careful all and have a good week more

I request Mr Jain to kindly let me know a single episode involving seizure of liquor from haryana to delhi and the police action taken so far as mentioned in the post. In New Manglapuri , MG road where I live , there is one Maruti Van with wholly white painted glasses which is openly transporting tens of cartoons of Haryana liquor every day and this fact is known to everyone over here. will Mr Jain overcome his illiteracy and help in arrest of offenders and seizure of the said van ? more
Will this not give a great opportunity for the cops to extract more from those who are carrying more than one liter. Is it that excise dHty is more in Delhi than in in Haryana. Then why not reduce the same so that there is no incentive in buying the same from Haryana. If they can increase VAT on petrol and diesel to match with Haryana, then why not this one also more
Mr Mohit one of the CM's of Haryana banned liquor in 1999/2000. The wild gup shup was that his son was paid by Rajasthan liquor mafia crores to enforce it at least for a year. Of course he succumbed to the demand within a year and he has to reverse the orders. Now consequences: (a) The young children stopped going to schools and started dancing in the hands of liquor mafia. The thin border of Haryana and Rajasthan was seen littered with youngsters with pouchesof unstandard liquor. The addicts used to cross over to Rajasthan border and made an adda there. This caused innumerable problems to the ladies, because the liquor was expensive in Rajasthan due to scarcity in Haryana n the incidents of domestic violence increased many folds. Then someone suggested the police that catch the drunk persons when they enter the Rajasthan/ Haryana border. Then the liquor bends what they did that they placed hundreds of charpoys in their compounds or the adjacent field. The addicts then used to drink there , roll on to charpoys and sleep there. Just gauge the agony of women folk if husband/ father/ brother is not back by night fall. I just want to convey that the social impact of one state blocking sale and other prospering. This is a political gimmick where politicians, police and the bad characters prosper. The liquor is banned in Gujrat. Do you know how much is consumed there? By the way recent news that UP CM writing or directing DCs to restore the position on decreasing sales of liquor in the state!! I hope we understand the game. more
Kejriwal has gone mad. Now Diesel and Petrol will be imported from Haryana as these commodities are cheaper in Haryana because of enhanced VAT in Delhi. To avoid this earlier Delhi Govt had lowered the VAT in Delhi for these products to avoid draining of revenue. TOTAL MAD PEOPLE. more
Really disgusting. Instead of making a healthy competetion, Govt. of NCT of Delhi has chosen this method. If a liquor bottle like blender pride can cost 350 in Chandigarh and Haryana, why it is costing 700 in Delhi. This has to be thought over by the Government. Chandigarh and Delhi are both UTs. Than why such a large difference in pricing. Until and unless this difference is there, one cannot stop flow of liquor from Haryana to Delhi. The only difference would be that this would be a shot in the arm for the corruption in excise department of Delhi. more
