Linking of Aadhar number to cell phone number
As per the communication received from Telecom companies, Aadhar number is required to be linked with cell phone number. In this connection, I have following points to make:-
1. If my pan card is already linked with Aadhar and my pan number is already with these companies, why should I Link my Aadhar number once again with my cell phone number.
2. Even where Aadhar number is to be linked, why should I be asked to give my finger prints. Why I can not give my Aadhar number only and there should be an option to link the same online by logging in to my account as in the case of Pan card and Bank accounts. Those who can not do so online, they may simply give their Aadhar number to the telephone company WITHOUT GIVING FINGER PRINTS. This requirement of giving finger print is totally irrational. more

I don't think it is mandatory to link your Aadhar with mobile number. Probably this is a hype created by the mobile service providers. I have not come across any such Government notification. If there is one, please post it here. more

Too much hullabaloo is created in identifying a person to the extent of harassing a citizen which is unwarranted. When Aadhaar has all records why other types of documents should be asked for? Even having Aadhaar of one region or state one cannot get any facility like seem card of access to internet in other regions. What is the use of Aadhaar when Indians do not get similar facilities in all areas/states of India? more

With all OTPs being transmitted on phone and the SIM, Bank Acct, Income-Tax etc linked with Adhaar this opens a new window for smart people (cyber-thieves) to operate your account when they have lined up all your details. may be some one could throw some light on this issue as well more

I totally agree that linking Aadhar no. is irrational. Mooreover this cannot be done online (I don't know why if all banks are doing that online) and a client is required to physically visit the mobile service provider's office is a completely unresonable and impractical load on users. more
