Life threatening air conditioning of Indian railways.
The air conditioned travel by Indian railways exposes you to life threatening infections like Nipah virus.
Air filters used by Indian railways are of 100 microns whereas filters of 10 micron or lower are essential to prevent spread of infections from a infected traveller to other co travelers.
Lower temperatures essential to prevent infections are often not maintained because someone not used to air conditioning keeps complaining.
The air conditioners are switched on only after the train leaves from its originating station and passengers are exposed to unhealthy environment for a long time.

Its right but the chances of spreading infections from the infected co-travellers, if any, will always be there due to congestion inside the coaches and during the entire period of travelling there are ample chances to become to direct physical contact with such passengers . more

the air conditioner late at night becomes a real problem as there is no way to reduce the chill.i am afraid whether there is any conduit pipe for stale air. more
