Life Skills Classes

Dear All,
I am a trained life skills instructor for adolescents & their parents. I also do workshops and classes but have never tried it in Greater Noida.
I would like some opinion/feedback about whether something like, life skills classes would be advisable to launch here...Thanks in advance! more

Dr. Nagama and Dr Richi Seth Comments are very helpful to all. Thank you Nagma and Richi for your Advice. Will tell the Mother about this and She may get it touch with you both. Regards. Col. Raja Chandra more
Mr chandra...ADHD is also treated with diet and activities if the symptoms are mild. But if not, then medication is required..Slight modifications in the environment, diet will help.Parents need to listen to their child instead of getting frustrate from the child's behaviour. Child needs love, support and rewards for their work.Parents should spend time and encourage them. They need to evaluate the weaknesses and strengths of their child with the help of school teacher and accordingly guide their child to the right path. more
parents should also attend the sessions with occupational therapist so that the same exercises can be carried at home also. more
Dear Mr. Chandra, it all depends on the severity of ADHD. In India we have inclusive schools too. Most of the times, the child continues on medication which permits him to function effectively in a normal setup. I am amazed by the school's stand on this. more
There is another boy 16 years of having Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) How can we help? What advise? The School has said to the mother to take him away from the School. In U.S. I was asking my Granddaughter 16 age, about this? She said in her School they are treated as normal children except that they have help from Psychiatrist who keeps them on Medicine, but they are treated as normal children. They continue with their studies normally. Some cases they wean away from the Medicine but in some cases Medicine continues. But the best part is they are treated like normal children or Adults. In U.S. 30 to 50 % individuals diagnosed in childhood continuing to have symptoms into adulthood. It is estimated that between 2 and 5 percent of adults only live with ADHD. Any comments about Delhi? How is ADHD is treated or managed by Parents.? more
