Less quantity, Same price. Same quantity, more price

Food item manufacturers are definitely not incurring losses, covid or no covid. Attached is the the image of 2 branded biscuit packets - the packet size has reduced, cost is the same. Also, the cost of another food product that we bought last week has increased by Rs. 10 this week. This is true for most items. The govt needs to do due diligence of the businesses before giving them sops or incentives. more

In all petrol pumps, you are having options: EITHER to purchase petrol of desired volume( say, 5 lit.) OR to purchase petrol worth a specified sum of money ( say, Rs. 500/-). more
Such marketing strategy is nothing unusual in the country. Manufacturers of Food & consumable items always bring a change in product feature in terms of quantity, packaging and price etc. Again change strategy, once product is piled up in warehouse. Everyone calculates the cost in total and market price keeping a margin that suits them. more
Various costings are involved viz. Input cost, high fuel charges, transportaton, marketing incentives are some if contributing factors of cost escalation, prompting quantity and reduced packing. more
It is the same in all categories of PRODUCTS. Manufacturers are taking care of their profitability with BOTH - by reducing the Quantity in their Packets as well as by Increasing the Price of their Products. It is the Consumer who has to bear ALL costs. Government, through Local Circle, should take note of this. CONSUMER IS THE KING WHO GETS CHEATED REGULARLY EITHER BY MANUFACTURERS OR BY ERRING GOVT POLICIES. more
all the products cost has increased and also inflation is higher .Only our salary has decreased and for sr citizens have been put under pressure not able to make ends meet with fixed income more
