Land ordinance : Amit Shah forms panel to seek farmers suggestions on new act.

BJP President Amit Shah on Tuesday formed an eight-member committee to seek farmers' suggestions on the proposed land acquisition legislation which has been stoutly opposed by several farmers' organisations.

The committee, of which former Union Minister Satyapal Malik is the convener, will hold discussions with farmers and other organisations on land acquisition.

The committee comprises seven party MPs, including Malik, and has a chartered accountant too.

The other members of the Committee are MPs Bhupender Yadav, Ram Narayan Dudi, Hukam Dev Narayan, Rakesh Singh, Sanjay Dhotre and Suresh Angadi, besides a chartered accountant Gopal Agarwal.

Several farmers' organisations have voiced serious concerns on the proposed amendments in the bill, fearing that it will be detrimental to farmers' interests.

Home Minister Rajnath Singh has so far met with representatives of 27 such organisations and more meetings are slated.

Government is claiming that the amended bill to replace the land acquisition ordinance is "pro-farmer" but the opposition parties have termed it as "anti-farmer" and have opposed the move in both Houses of Parliament.

This is where the real identity theft is. All the good work of poor people is credited to their rich masters. All the blame due to the mistake of the rich masters goes to their poor counterparts. This is like an age-old trend in India. God knows when this will change. more
POOR ARE ALWAYS DEPENDANT ON THEIR DIRECT SOCIAL PERSONALITY TO SURVIVE. SO, THEY NEVER HAVE INDIVIDUALISM AND NEVER REALISED TO ESTABLISH since there is no body in the Government to do for them. more
Why are policies in India with only one perspective (RICH) ? Why not think of Poor People ? Who votes, Poor or Rich ? I never ever voted in my entire life so far. Why then the government works for the rich ? more
1. AGRICULTURE OVER THE LAST 30 YEARS WAS AUTOMATICALY UP-LIFTED IN SUCH A WAY THAT THERE ARE CONTINUOUS DEMANDS FOR CATEGORISING IT UNDER " INDUSTRIES " 2. SELF CULTIVATION BY LAKHS OF FARMERS WAS ALREADY TERMED INTO CONTRACTUAL { Tenancy ] IN A SUMS OF 50 TO 70 ACRES BY AN INDIVIDUAL CONRACTOR. 3. FURTHER, ABOUT 40 % OF AGRICULTURAL LANDS IN TOTAL PERTAIN TO WEALTHY LAND LORDS/PERSONALITIES AS IS EVIDENT. 4. AGAIN, THERE ARE 100 TO 200 ACRES INDIVIDUAL EXTENTS BEING USED FOR PLANTATION OF VARIOUS FRUITS. 5. IN ADDITION, SINCE LAST 15 YEARS, DUE TO THE CORPORATE DEVELOPMENT IN THE SALE BUSINESSING , 100 TO 3 TO 400 ACRES INDIVIDUAL EXTENTS ARE ENGAGED FOR VEGETABLE PLANTATIONS. 6. FURTHER, WITH THE ABOVE CONTRACTUAL SYSTEM OF FARMING , NUMBER OF PETTY CONTRACTORS OF THE MAJOR PRODUCTIVE VILLAGES , INTURN , STARTED BUSINESSING ON THE CROP BASED PURCHASES FROM INDIVITUAL FARMERS . IN DEED, THERE HAS BEEN SUFFICIENT OUTPUT ORIENTATION IN AGRICULTURE ; BUT THE adulteration in Fertilizers ; marketing imbalanced and lower quality Fertilizers causing dangerous calamities to the real Farmers of Self Cultivation and those dependant on Crop Sale. BESIES THIS CREATED CALAMITIES , AND PARTICULARLY NON AVAILABILITY OF COSD STORAGE WARE-HOUSES CREATING DISGUST. BESIDES THIS, THE NON-PLANNED ITEM CULTIVATION TO MATCH WITH THE DEMAND & UTILITY IS SPOILING THEIR ECONOMIES. TO BE WISE ENOUGH, THERE ARE TO BE REDRESSED AND REFORMED . THE REALITIES AND FACTS OF THE NEED ENLIGHTENED BY " SRI HARBANS JINDAL " IS ABSOLUTELY CORRECT AND NEDED ACTION OF THE HOUR TO CARE. TOP PRIORITY POWER & ELECTRICITY , ENERGY , AND THE SECOND PRIORITY THE INCREASING OF INDUSTRIES NEEDED TO ASSIST AND ADDRESS THE NEEDS OF THE PEOPLE. TO ACHIEVE THIS, IMPROVING BUSINESSING IN INDIA IN ALL SECTORS IS NEEDED AND FOR THIS, FOREIGN FUNDS, N R I FUNDS AND CORPORATE FUNDS ARE NEED IN ADDITON TO A WISE PROVISION OF NECESSARY LAND ACCESSABLE TO THE NEEDED OF INFRASTRUCTURE USEFUL FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF VARIOUS BUSINESSES WHICH ARE PRIME & NECESSARY AT THIS PIETYABLE TIME AND PAUCITY. more
May be the government leaders only shake hands (or hug also sometimes) with the poor farmers before elections. Once they get power, they do not even like hearing about their most important issues. Problem here is that the government is not making things clear. All sort of news are floating around. It is like a mockery of news by Media. God only knows what is happening. more
