Keratosis Pillaris itchy skin
My 13 year old has tiny dots on her skin and from time to time she has an itch. The condition I believe is called keratosis pillaris. Is there an ayurvedic solution to it?? more

coconut oil is useful ,even urine therapy useful is but in winter one may not use as exposure to cold is problem .As summer sets in,urine therapy may b used. more
You may laugh at it, but my suggestion is to use urine therapy! Though old urine is used for adults, I suggest you try fresh mid-stream urine of the child and apply it morning and night and see the results. I had tried this on my uncle who had chronic eczema in both legs and it was cured after regular application of old urine for about 9 months. more
This condition is a harmless one , that is likely disappear by itself when the individual reaches 30 years of age . Just like some Asthma which troubles young children , but vanishes b the time they reach 12/13 years.
Ask your daughter not to scratch whichmay agravate the condition. Who ever diagnnosed the condition would have also recommended some ointments to avoid the look of it . It appears on the arms, thighs, cheeks and buttocks . As long as it is not in the cheeks or exposed portion of the Anatomy neednt worry to medicate . If it is on the face try some over the counter lotions /ointments containing , Urea. more
