Kejriwal and his SDMs

CM delhi his ministers and esp SDMs should emulate the model that DM Noida has started. Last night we got updates from him on pollution, school closure etc via his circle. Why cant more and more administrators do that. Delhi police did that for a few months but dont hear any updates now for some reason. more

good suggestions Mr. Mishra. I will add somethings. pollution because of traffic problems. No control on crossings in spite of policing. they should install CCTV cameras on crossings, put zebra crossings and pedestrian lights and put electronic chips in front of cars. Automatic chalans, ban horn buzzing. Especially motor cyclists should be challaned for speed breaking more
I have a strong feeling that there is no functional government in Delhi for the last three years. So, How can we expect any such function from these people. more
Yes. This can be done if votes and Notes are showered on AAP functionaries. more
What can the Delhi Government do to curb pollution in the city? I thought of some points. Would like to get more points. Would add them up and send to Government in a petition : 1. Public transport : Promote public transport by adding more DTC Buses & Metro Coaches. 2. Semi public transport : Promote Semi public transport like cabs/Uber/Ola etc and try to stop the airport entry tax they have to pay. 3. Traffic bottlenecks : Identify the traffic bottlenecks and widen them where possible 4. Footpath encroachments: People who use public transport cannot walk on footpaths due to encroachments. Make footpaths free to walk. All roads and footpaths are encroached upon and the encroachments have to go even if hawkers have to be relocated. 5. Reward public transport: Make things easier, smoother and delightful for people who use public transport. 6. Change Draconian tree laws : These days people and companies have stopped planting trees in their homes and office due to fear of later tree not allowed to cut. If govt allows easy tree cutting (in residential and office plots only. Not talking about public spaces or forest) then people would plant more trees in their homes/offices/compounds without any fear of it becoming a nuisance later 7 Plant more trees in open spaces. 8 Crackers : Ban the crackers. 9. Burning waste : Heavy penalties for burning waste in open by people even against cold. 10. Burning grass: Fix the responsibilities of the park-in-charge for burning grass in the parks. 11. Waste Segregation: Segregate kitchen and recyclable waste from homes collection itself 12. Remember this pollution problem throughout the year. Do not forget it as soon as the situation improves What step (big or small) will you take personally to help bring down pollution? 1. Don't burn crackers 2. Segregate kitchen and recyclable waste from homes collection itself 3. Use public transport and promote it. Feel proud of doing your bit to save environment when you are boarding a metro. 4. We must stop looking down upon public transport. Stop thinking its only an economic factor if one is boarding a metro or bus. 5. Report burning in open Again : Remember this pollution problem throughout the year. Do not forget it as soon as the situation improves more
It is the job of the bureaucrats to collect the data, process it and submit information to executive. Government is doing its part. Ministers are at border to check no polluting vehicle is permitted. Another minister personally supervised relief operations when a building crumbled in walled city. Why bureaucrats are not doing their job? Good question! more
