Juvenile Act

Dear Friends . on 22 nd December 2015 Rajyasabha passed " Juvenile Act " and now age is reduced from 18 to 16 . My point is that medically it is proved that in last 10/15 years age to attain puberty in both sexes is reducing drastically and speedily( In boys they attain it between 10/15) . Now boy even below 16 can force upon woman and do all wrong things against her will . I request you all to air your views and tell present Government to make necessary changes to safeguard women against such incidents . more

Times have changed and with that there have considerable change in the human physiology. Maturity age for females and males alike have shown to come in early and hence 12 should be the age limit for a juvenile. more
The juvenile who was the most violent in nirbhaya's case is now free. Where is justice in our country? We should have a vote on what people think about this lack of justice and leaving a criminal free to hurt other women in India more
Already there are cases of Rape by those below 18 and 16 . Limit for Rapes must be set to 14 years and not 16 . The Indian Female Forums have to fight for this inevitable correction . more
The Bill has been passed in the Rajya Sabha today (23.12.2015). It has to be notified and Presidential Assent obtained. Only then will it become a law. It is my fervent request to the bureaucracy that drafting out the notification and getting the Presidential Assent should not be delayed and this should become a law as soon as possible. We have seen how the rate of commission of heinous crimes by young people just below 18 years of age has gone up rapidly in the recent past. Any delay will only increase the number of culprits that will get away because the law cannot be applied with retrospective effect. Hence this appeal to the bureaucracy for expeditious action. more
