Jaggery versus Sugar input from family Doctor

Treat jaggery as a form of sugar (for all practical purposes).

Dangers of white sugar and jaggery are one & the same- increased risk of obesity, diabetes mellitus, heart attack, stroke, non alcoholic fatty liver disease and dementia.

So, reduce (to the lowest possible) the intake of sugar and jaggery.

If anyone differs do share how/why? more

Can someone clarify SODIUM HYDROSULPHATE free jaggry i. e. Unpolished or untreated jaggry benefitial, as Mt. Ashish Rai defined the prooerties of unrefined jaggery? more  
It is an established fact from childhood that jaggery is much better then sugar. more  
I would recommend that besides sugar , jaggery and salt . The food (including fruits vegetables, ) should not be eaten as they all have chemical fertilizers , so do the air we breathe it contains poisonous gases and pollutants , no water as its again polluted by chemicals more  
Jaggery is unrefined sugar and nutritionally superior to sugar. Jaggery contains vitamins, minerals, fiber, and iron. Thus jaggery is better for the healthy. Contraindicators - diabetes. more  
Many people say jaggery is less harmful as contains many nutrients. Your topic has led to confusion. more
