Up was one the top states of Bharat (India) during British rule and even during the initial years of post-independent Bharat. And thereafter its government/administration started exhibiting all-round deterioration. And government-managed education was one the sufferers. I understand that it was Mulayam singh's regime when the standard of education was all-time low. I personally feel he was interested in earning major share of vote from the public by allowing all means of passing examinations - by adopting anything wrong or right. Mass-copying was allowed so that people would vote in favour of Mulayam.
Things stated going down and down since then.
I thought the BJP regime (CM Yogi) would now take steps to improve the health of education. But it was really shocking to note that his priorities center around faith (Hindutva), enacting idols in religious places, develop those places for pilgrims, promote cow "worship" and similar other things. Education, public health, law and order, and fighting corruption are placed lowest on his priority list.
Kanwariyas are more important to him than students. One lane of major roads have been reserved for their movement, that is they must not face problems, let others suffer. more
That is the reason Quality of education even Institution like IITs not now being recognised/appreciated by other countries
There are so many Schools, Colleges or Institution run by One staff , not only in remote area but also in big cities. Manupulation & awarding certificate on payment basis is common more
